Town & country Gala
The historic Haverty-Davis House was the setting for the Atlanta Historic Trust’s 34th Annual Preservation Gala. An elegant Town & County theme used a stylish mix of yellows, blues and white to make the palette for the fundraiser's decor. Patrons were greeted with set of breathtaking garden baskets attached to the brick entryway. Designs overflowed with seeded eucalyptus, Italian ruscus, English ivy, hydrangea, white stock, and open, yellow rose blooms. Spring forsythia, radiant blue delphinium and curly willow extended up and out of the baskets. Garlands of plumosa coiled down from the designs dotted with blue and white florets and studded with fresh, festive, yellow lemons reached to the ground.
Inside the dining tent atop tall, silver stands, large arrangements of hydrangea, roses, stock, tulips, delphinium, cascading English ivy and soaring parlor palm leaves graced half the tables. The remaining displayed masterful designs in silver pedestal trays presenting bountiful floral rings of gorgeous blooms. Three clear glass cylinders filled with water and crowned with ivory floating candles added ambiance to the night's festivities.Cocktail tables offered adorable designs of green hydrangea, and happy, bright, yellow daffodils. English Ivy and fresh lemons in white birch and zinc containers created added whimsy.
From the main tent, the guests were guided by black lanterns with white pillar candles to the entrance to the dance floor. Here the entryway was decorated with two potted, lit landscape trees. Inside the high boy tables were also dotted with the jubilant daffodil arrangements.
